Our client is recognised as a world leader in the paper industry, with multiple locations throughout the world which includes Albury-Wodonga.

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Team Leader.
Your position will be ensuring optimal and cost-effective use of all maintenance resources and provision of technical support to achieve maximum production and asset efficiency/availability through appropriate maintenance activities. You will be providing immediate leadership and day to day management of the Electrical & Instrumentation trades team. 

The focus of your role will be
  • Managing the performance of people in the assigned maintenance trades team and the development of the team itself (including apprentices).
  • Managing efficiency costs, quality and work force utilisation (including contractors) for maintenance activities.
  • Ensuring continuous improvement in all maintenance activities (predictive, routine, corrective) and effective problem solving to improve mill reliability and productivity.
  • Ensuring Maintenance trades comply with and are proactive about occupational health and safety, and environmental standards.
  • Providing technical expertise and input to improve maintenance performance.
  • Ensures break-in, run and shut work is adequately planned, scheduled and executed to maximise plant efficiency / availability.
  • Ensure relevant engineering standards and procedures are complied with in all maintenance activities.
  • Participation in Mill on-call roster.
  • Implementation of Environmental legislation and practices as relevant.

To be successful in this role you will have
  • Proven experience in a Leadership role with proven outcomes.
  • High level of problem-solving skills.
  • High level of computer literacy and systems knowledge.
  • Strong networking and communication skills.
  • Technical experience in a continuous, heavy manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of relevant standards, industrial agreements, safety and environment legislation.
  • A positive, can-do attitude and the ability to motivate others.
Qualifications required
  • A minimum of Electrical trade certificate, Tertiary qualifications will be highly regarded.
  • 5+ years’ experience in a maintenance and people management role in a manufacturing environment.
