Our Albury based client is a very successful Transport and Logistics business that has built a strong reputation over many years. Due to continued growth and success, they have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Operations Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.

This role is responsible for assisting the Operations Manager in the coordination of all logistic movements to achieve maximum efficiencies in the flow of loads, transport, data and paperwork to meet Customer, Compliance and WHS requirements.

This role would suit candidates that are computer literate, have a high attention to detail, are prepared to get their hands dirty and ideally have a HC licence to jump in and do odd jobs.
To be considered, candidates will demonstrate:
  • Previous experience in the transport industry 
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Strong problem solving skills and the ability to remain calm in high pressure situations
  • Excellent computer literacy and the aptitude to learn new programs quickly
  • High level written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to build strong relationships with a wide range of; clients, employees, suppliers and stakeholders
  • High level administration experience
  • Previous experience in developing/ improving operational procedures
  • Very strong work ethic
  • Desire to develop management skills
  • HC Licence ( Preferred )
