CPA Accountant (Alpine area)

We are seeking an astute and motivated accountant to deliver outcomes for the benefit of stakeholders in a resort situated in the scenic Victorian high country.
Experience in systems implementation and integration are essential with a preference for a background in tourism industry or local government sector.  Preferably CPA or near qualified with a strong understanding of financial controls you will benefit from this small focussed regional organisation and the idyllic alpine environment.  Skills and experience in developing Magic Report Writing will be an advantage.  You will also be involved in the financial systems, training and providing advice in a professional and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Budgeting and forecasting
  • Prepare monthly financial reports (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cashflow) including variance analysis
  • IAS/BAS submissions
  • Account reconciliations
  • Year end and half-year end reporting and preparation of statutory accounts
  • Weekly statistical reporting and analysis
  • Leadership and assistance with;
    • Accounts receivable and payable
    • Payroll processing and reporting
  • Month end accounting tasks including journals, postings and accruals
  • Provide assistance and support with the external and internal audit requirements
  • Drive process improvement across the organisation
  • 3 - 5 years experience in SME
  • Bachelor degree in Accounting
  • CA/CPA qualification preferable
  • Advanced Excel
  • Civicview financial system knowledge an advantage
  • Ability to manage your time and work to important deadlines
  • Able to proactively identify risks and issues and able to drive resolutions forwards
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders
