Our client, Regional Disability Advocacy Service (RDAS) provides a range of advocacy type services providing reorientation to people with disability living in North East Victoria and Southern parts of New South Wales including the Riverina. They are currently seeking to appoint an Executive Officer to come on board.
PURPOSE AND FUNCTION:
The Executive Officer reports to Board and is delegated to manage the operational aspects of the organisation. They are responsible to ensure that goals are met in accordance with the Service Mission Statement and policy set by the Board and ensures that the organisation meet the requirements set out in funding and service agreements
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Manage the overall development, implementation and review of RDAS programs and strategic direction with the aim of continuous improvement to work activities, procedures and service delivery.
Ensure the Board is provided with the support, information and expertise required to effectively meet their statutory and governance responsibilities.
Maintain a good working relationship and meet the reporting requirements with the funding bodies.
In conjunction with the Treasurer, be responsible for the administrative and financial management of the organisation, including the preparation and presentation of budgets and financial reports to the Board and funding body.
Be responsible for the development and implementation of:
- effective administrative and information systems
- the organisations Policy and Procedures Manual
- Work, Health Safety and Quality Assurance programs/activity
- Quality Assurance programs/Activities.
Responsible for staff management functions including effective recruitment, selection, supervision including encourage team development and participation.
Manage and undertake systemic advocacy activities, representing the concerns of the members and clients.
Actively explore opportunities for funding and prepare program funding submissions and reports as required.
Contributes to a cohesive, reliable, high quality service.
Manage and maintain data to ensure up to date records on data base/case management system in accordance with policies and procedures
Comply with all RDAS policies and procedures
Actively participate in service, staffing and cultural evaluation processes including the completion and continued review of KPI’s for staff and management.
