Warehouse Manager

Australian Aerospace Engineering is a locally owned, multifaceted aviation engineering business with an outstanding reputation for quality and customer service. AAE supplies aviation parts and hardware to an impressive and established customer-base nationwide.

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to professionally manage our warehouse and the performance of a small team. This will include a keen focus on continual improvement and striving to achieve customer satisfaction through every customer interaction. In this critical role, you will ensure the seamless operation of the distribution warehouse and work to achieve the Key Performance objectives, while operating in accordance with AAE’s Quality Management System.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Management of warehouse operations through established processes
  • Day-to-day supervision, direction and training of a small, high-performing team, fostering commitment to achieve our mission whilst demonstrating our core values
  • Ensuring adherence to AAE’s AS9120B Quality Management System
  • Key Performance Indicators across a range of metrics including customer satisfaction, on-time delivery, accuracy, timely receipting of incoming goods, and incidents
  • Maintaining a records system to industry standards for the receipt traceability and dispatch of all aeronautical products processed through the store
  • Arranging freight and managing freight accounts
  • Picking, packing and dispatch of aeronautical products with the team as required
  • Act as safety representative ensuring a safe working environment
  • Customer service enquiries through liaison with the Customer Service Manager
  • Monitor the online AAE e-store
  • Store status reporting during weekly team meetings
  • Regular liaison and reporting to management with respect to warehouse operations

Our ideal candidate will possess:

  • Relevant industry expertise
  • Experience managing and leading small teams
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Understanding of LEAN
  • Formal qualification in warehousing/supply chain operations
